Minky Ruffle Blanket

This is a simple minky ruffle blanket that I made for my niece.  It has a different minky on each side and the ruffle is made of a high quality satin.  Love the cuteness of this quilt.  I have the need to make a lot more boy baby blankets than girl ones, so I'm always happy when I can do something cute in pink!

Puppy Quilt

Aaron loves, I mean really LOVES, dogs.  A few months before his 5th birthday I found a cute little quilt kit for a dog quilt.  I knew Aaron would love this.  I got the kit home and it was a mess.  The instructions were terrible, and the kit wasn't specific as to what size of quilt it was for--way too much of some fabric and to little of others for the two sizes I would have thought.  Luckily, my mom came to my rescue and we adapted the pattern and changed the borders and how things were laid out.  I had to buy a little bit more of one type of fabric (which I found on ebay) but we worked it out enough to make this cute quilt for Aaron.  He sleeps with it every night along with his 4-5 stuffed animal dogs.  I love the quilt too, but will be a lot more wary in the future when buying a pre-cut quilt kit!

Block Quilt

Love this quilt that I made for Aaron (Alex is using it in this picture--we were in the hospital after Aaron was born and Alex was taking a little nap).  I love the simplicity of this quilt.  Mostly I loved cuddling with Aaron and this blanket in the recliner during the cold winter months.

Rail Fence

This is a rail fence quilt.  One of my favorites to make as the fabrics you use can completely change the look of the quilt.  It is a fun one to make!

Turning 20

This is a Turning 20 quilt that Caroline and I made for her room.  I love the scrappiness of this quilt.

Circle Quilts

Circle quilts are some of my favorite quilts to make.  I love the different look that they have.

This quilt I made for Alex's 2nd grade teacher, Mrs. Mabe, when she was having a baby.  We wrote the names of all the kids in the class on the circles and put their thumb prints in the center of the circle.

This quilt was made for Alex's 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Henderson.  We both loved her so much (and she loved Alex).  It was such a great year that I made her a quilt to thank her for all she did for Alex.
The same year that I made a quilt for Mrs. Henderson, I made this quilt for Carter's 3rd grade teacher, Mrs. Justice.  She is one of my favorite teachers of all time.  If I could hire her to teach all my kids every year I would.  What an amazing lady and the quilt was a small token of what I felt for her.
This quilt I made for Mom Urbanawiz as she started Chemotherapy.  It has black Minky on the back.  The batik fabrics and the purples just remind me of Connie.

Alternating strip quilt

This quilt is one I made for my good friend as she started Chemotherapy.  The blocks were made of 1.5" strips alternating 3 color/2 white and 2 color/3 white.  The back was a yellow minky with inspirational sayings.  It is similar to the one below but the colors were yellow and grey.
